Connie Jordan Green, a member of the East Tennessee Writers Hall of Fame, is the author of novels for young people, poetry chapbooks and collections, and a personal newspaper column that ran for more than 42 years. She will appear at the 2025 Southern Festival of Books in Nashville, October 18–19.

“Darwin’s Breath”

Connie Jordan Green lives on a farm in Loudon County, where her column for the Loudon County News Herald is in its fortieth year. She is the author of four poetry collections and will read from the newest, Darwin’s Breath at Union Ave. Books in Knoxville on April 15.

“November Moves In”

May 1, 2015 Connie Jordan Green lives on a farm in East Tennessee with her husband and two cats and two dogs. Her weekly column for the Loudon County News Herald is in its thirty-sixth year. She writes stories for young people, poetry, and novels. Green will read from her new collection, Household Inventory, at 2 p.m. on May 3, 2015, at Union Ave. Books in Knoxville.
