July 29, 2011 Critics are raving about Kevin Wilson’s remarkably original debut novel, The Family Fang, which centers on a somewhat dysfunctional family of performance artists. The book has put him in the running to be Amazon’s Rising Star for 2011, and NPR has named The Family Fang one of the “summer’s best reads.” Nearer home, Wilson’s writing has been recommended by another renowned Tennessee writer, Ann Patchett, who praised the book in Time magazine, calling it “a book like nothing else.”. Look for The Family Fang to hit shelves on August 9.
