February 9, 2012 Abraham Verghese’s sprawling epic, Cutting for Stone, just passed the two-year mark on The New York Times bestseller list (that’s 104 weeks, if you’re counting), has sold more than a million copies, and has been published in twenty-five different languages. And now the book is being turned into a feature film by Anonymous Content, which has tapped Susanne Bier (In a Better World) to direct and Scott Teems (>That Evening Sun) to write. No word yet on casting or the film’s projected release date.
