Contract Killing, Family Style

While Eric Jerome Dickey is known for his romantic comedies and for his steamy explorations of adult relationships, but he has also dipped a toe in spy waters with a series of international thrillers that follow an operative named Gideon. This year’s A Wanted Woman finds Dickey introducing a new mercenary, a Memphis-raised woman who was born to parents of African heritage but who appears to be Caucasian. Reaper, who didn’t know her father until she was nearly a teenager, trains under him in the field of contract killing. Sent by her employers to dispatch a target on Trinidad, she unwittingly starts a war with a Laventille Killers cartel, and the battle hops the islands and ends up on Barbados.
