The collection has already earned a variety of critical acclaim and has received the coveted “double review” from the New York Times. Quatro’s stories present a complicated yet beautiful take on everyday American life while simultaneously drawing on elements of science fiction. Today she reveals the story behind the collection’s title and intriguing cover art, and also discusses her short story “Decomposition: A Primer for Promiscuous Housewives.”
