Connie Jordan Green lives on a farm in Loudon County, where her column for the Loudon County News Herald is in its fortieth year. She is the author of four poetry collections and will read from the newest, Darwin’s Breath at Union Ave. Books in Knoxville on April 15.
Michael E. Williams lives in Nashville and serves as Writer/Storyteller-in-Residence at Martin Methodist College. He will read from his new chapbook, The Khristos Cantos, at Poetry in the Boro in Murfreesboro on March 11 and at the Scarritt Bennett Center in Nashville on March 22.
Erin Elizabeth Smith is the creative director at the Sundress Academy for the Arts in Knoxville and managing editor of Sundress Publications. She will give a free public reading on March 5 at the John C. Hodges Library on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Ciona Rouse lives in Nashville, where she curates many poetry experiences. She will read from her new chapbook, Vantablack (Third Man Books, 2017) at the Southern Festival of Books, held in Nashville October 13-15.
Kerri French is the author of Every Room in the Body, winner of the 2016 Moon City Poetry Award, and Instruments of Summer, a chapbook of poems about the life of Amy Winehouse. She will appear at the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville October 13-15.
Earl S. Braggs is the Herman H. Battle Professor of African American Studies at the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. He is the author of ten collections of poetry. Braggs is the recipient of the Anhinga Prize, the Jack Kerouac Prize, the Gloucester College Prize, and the Cleveland State Prize. He will appear at the 2017 Southern Festival of Books, held in Nashville October 13-15.
